CALL FOR PAPERS
APATS 2008 is now accepting presentation proposals for the 2008 conference. The conference will focus on Pilot Training issues; if you would like to give a presentation in Bangkok please send your presentation abstract to Chris Long, Conference Chair at chrislong@halldale.com

THEME: TRAINING FOR SAFETY IN A COMMERCIAL WORLD
As airlines are subjected to yet more pressure to control costs, training expenses come under the microscope once again. Pilot training is driven in large part by regulatory requirements – are these alone enough to guarantee safety? If not, what additional training should be delivered to ensure competency? New training technology and methodologies are making training much more effective and efficient – what are the new best practices?   What training solutions are on the horizon which promise further improvement? Within those themes we will be looking closely at progress in Aviation English Language Training, and there will also be a short update on MPL training patterns.

Submitting Papers for APATS 2008
Abstracts are required by 9 May 08

Please title your email ‘APATS ABSTRACT’ – and submit your abstract to Chris Long, Conference Chair at chrislong@halldale.com
Submissions should include:
- The working title of the presentation
- Specific theme in which you think it should be placed
- Your full email and postal address
- Up to 100 words abstract

APATS presentations are 20 minutes in length. Final papers are accompanied by a PowerPoint presentation which will be required before the event.
