The Asia Pacific Airline Training Symposium (APATS) will once again be held at AsiaWorld-Expo in Hong Kong on 8-9 September, alongside Asian Aerospace 2009 (8-10 September), the leading business to business airline expo. APATS @AA 09 will provide a focus for all airline training professionals attending AA09, with the APATS training exhibit and conference situated together in a prime position right in the middle of the show in the dedicated Simulation & Training pavilion (Hall 7).  Consisting of an APATS exhibition area, a delegate refreshment area for the APATS delegates and a conference venue, creating a cohesive integrated centre of training excellence with AA09.
APATS is a showcase for the aviation training issues which directly affect the Asia Pacific region, and serves as a platform for the associated major players to express their views. Conference organiser CAT Magazine – with Mr. Chris Long as Conference Chair – has received significant support from the Civil Aviation Department of Hong Kong & major players in the Asian aviation industry in assembling the conference.
This year’s symposium will aim to deliver a focused, executive level treatment of Asia- Pacific airline training and simulation issues. Topical themes at this year’s conference are:
• Day 1: Tuesday 8th Sept. - New Aviation Technology and Challenges in Training
• Day 2: Wednesday 9th Sept. - Taking a System Approach on Safety Oversight
At the close of the first day of the conference all APATS @ AA 09 delegates, speakers and exhibitors are invited to attend a Networking Reception sponsored by Aviation Australia.
Attendance at APATS @AA 09 will provide you with the tools to handle your individual and collective training challenges, resulting in improved performance and reduced costs for your business. APATS @AA 09 – a must do for those wanting to hear and discuss the region’s critical aviation training issues.

Training is as a key enabling technology for safe aviation growth in the Asia Pacific Region and this has led to rapid expansion in both the APATS conference and the exhibition. The cost of the booth package is HKD 45,585. Each 3m x 3m booth offers hard wall shell scheme, with fascia board and comes fully furnished and ready to use. Exhibitors also get complimentary access to the APATS conferences and the APATS Networking Reception which takes place alongside the APATS exhibition on the Training Pavilion, breaking down barriers and facilitating networking.
