Training for Safety in a Commercial World

APATS 08 will take place in Bangkok on 16-17th September 2008.It will be time to measure the initial impact of the introduction of the ICAO Aviation English Proficiency Requirement;  and the first graduates of several Multi Crew Pilot Licence training systems will have spread their wings – how will they be doing? How effective have the purpose-built MPL Training devices been? How well have the RAeS Working Group recommendations on simpler categorisation of Flight Simulator Training Devices been received? These topics will certainly be of interest, but what others will be at the forefront of the trainers’ mind in a year’s time?
