Airways Aviation Purchases MPS Sim for Pilot Training

Posted on Tuesday 15th September 2015 | Airline

At APATS 2015 (Asia Pacific Airways Training Symposium) today Airways Aviation signed the purchase agreement for a state-of-the-art MPS Centaur FTD-1 B737-NG simulator for airline pilot training.

The Centaur FTD-1 B737-NG is built by Multi Pilot Simulations (MPS) in the Netherlands and is the latest in advanced simulator technology for multi-crew, jet orientation and B737 type rating training. The simulator will be located at the new Airways Aviation Flight Training Centre in Brisbane, Australia.

The addition of the FTD-1 B737 simulator further expands and refines the training opportunities Airways Aviation is able to provide in Australia, to both the domestic and international market. Operations of the FTD-1 simulator will commence in early 2016.
