L-3 Commercial Training Solutions' (L-3 CTS) Crawley-based L-3 Link UK operation has been awarded a contract by EVA Air.
The contract is to manufacture and deliver a Boeing B787-9 Dreamliner full flight simulator (FFS) based on L-3's RealitySeven™ flight training simulation technology. The award marks the 19th RealitySeven B787-9 FFS delivered by L-3 Link UK to its global customer base.
The device will be installed at EVA Air's flight training center near Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport and is expected to reach its ready-for-training milestone in March 2018, corresponding with the delivery of four B787-9 aircraft to the airline.
This latest training device will be the third RealitySeven FFS that L-3 CTS has provided to EVA Air, joining Level D Airbus A320 and Boeing 777 devices currently in service. The device will also be the fourth RealitySeven FFS located on the island of Taiwan.
