Veteran CAT Magazine contributor Robert Moorman has been honoured at the 2017 Aerospace Media Awards dinner, which took place before the start of the Paris Airshow (PAS17) on June 18.

Held at the Aero Club de France, the Aerospace Media Awards recognize international excellence in aviation journalism across several classifications. Moorman received the “Best Safety, Training and Simulation Award” for his recent CAT Magazine article “Hidden in Plane Sight.”

“This long deserved award not only recognizes Robert’s extraordinary talents as an investigative journalist, it also provides exposure to the sad reality of human trafficking,” said Editor in Chief, Chris Lehman. “CAT Magazine is proud to have played a role in highlighting this issue, and this feature story provides real and tangible information that can aid flight crews in recognizing victims as well as helping to prosecute the perpetrators.”

Robert W. Moorman is a freelance writer specializing in various facets of the fixed and rotary-wing air transportation business, including training. With 30 years of experience, his writing clients include several of the leading aviation magazines targeting the civil and military markets. Since 2002, he's written for CAT and sister publication Military Simulation and Training (MS&T).
