CTC Aviation & easyJet Launch 'Generation easyJet Pilot Training Programme'

Earlier this month CTC Aviation announced the re-opening of applications to the CTC WINGS Multi-crew Pilot Licence (MOL) in partnership with easyJet. Since its launch in 2013, the programme has provided aspiring pilots the opportunity to join a full-time career programme, leading directly to a job as an easyJet co-pilot - no flying experience required.

Driven by the continued success of the MPL route, CTC Aviation and easyJet have partnered to deliver a new, innovative pilot training and placement initiative - the 'Generation easyJet Pilot Training Programme', announced by the airline at CTC Aviation's Airline Pilot Careers event on Saturday 4th June 2016.

The programme includes the existing MPL route and also provides two additional easyJet-focussed training routes; the easyJet MPL Upgrade and the easyJet Integrated ATPL. Focused on easyJet-specific multi-crew operations, aircraft type and the airline's Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), the programme is designed to equip trainees for Airbus A320 type-rating training, line training and ultimately, a professional airline pilot career with easyJet.

Applicants to the Generation easyJet Pilot Training Programme who successfully complete a selection process with CTC Aviation and easyJet will now have the opportunity to join one of three training routes, determined by performance in selection and training; and academic qualifications.

Trainees on the Generation easyJet Pilot Training Programme will benefit from a number of enhancements including CTC WINGS Training Sponsorship, CTC WINGS 'Performance Protection' and most significantly, an offer of placement as an easyJet co-pilot on completion of training.

The launch of the Generation easyJet Pilot Training Programme forms a significant element of easyJet's drive to find 400 newly-qualified pilots this year alone and is part of a longer term strategy by the airline to support its continued growth and structure for the future.
