Flight Training Adelaide (FTA) has been selected by IndiGo as one of the training providers for the airline's cadet training program.
Under the agreement, IndiGo and FTA will jointly select cadets for a potential job opportunity in IndiGo.
Cadets will complete basic flight training towards a commercial pilot licence, multi-engine instrument rating and MCC qualification at FTA in Adelaide. An Airbus A320 Type Rating wil be conducted by Ansett Aviation Training in Melbourne, with the program culminating with an Indian licence conversion in India.
CEO of FTA, Pine Pienaar commented: "We are very excited to offer a turn key solution to IndiGo, whereby FTA will be involved from cadet selection, undertaking the CPL and Type Rating Training Services and the Flight Conversion process till all the way to giving the cadet an opportunity to appear for IndiGo's simulator assessment for the position of a Junior First Officer."
