TRU Simulation + Training (TRU) has received approval from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for its Cessna Citation CJ4 (CE-525C) Online Ground School pilot training course.

The course will provide customers with a flexible distance-learning option to complete the required aircraft systems portion of ground school during recurrent training.

The Cessna Citation CJ4 pilot training program was launched in November 2016 at the TRU ProFlight Pilot Training Center in Carlsbad, utilising a Level D Full Flight Simulator (FFS). The company’s Carlsbad facility also offers pilot training programs for Cessna Citation CJ3, Cessna Conquest I (425) and Conquest II (441) aircraft.

TRU’s online ground school is currently available as part of other pilot training programs including those for the King Air 350 and Cessna Citation CJ3. Soon, the company says online ground school courses will be offered for the Cessna Citation M2, CJ3+, and Latitude/Sovereign+ training programs, which are located at the TRU ProFlight Pilot Training Center in Tampa, Florida.

David Smith, TRU’s VP Training Centers, stated, “At TRU, we strive to design every course with the customer in mind. The flexible ground school option shortens the amount of time required to be at our facility and prepares our customer to spend more of their valuable time right where they want to be—back in the air flying.”
