Following the sale of its premises in Littlehampton, West Sussex, UK-based Caledonian Advanced Pilot Training will begin operations at a new base in Troon, near Prestwick in Scotland.

Located just eight miles from the Civil Aviation Authority’s examination centre in Ayr, the company’s Troon base offers inexpensive accommodation to students and other examination candidates.  The range of EASA approved courses running at Troon include ATPL (A & H); CPL (A & H); IR (A & H), including the EIR/CBIR; PPL (A & H); First Multi-Engine Pre-Entry Conversion for helicopter pilots, included in all helicopter courses; and Single Pilot CRM/Pilot Decision Making, which is also included with each professional course. The base will be operated in addition to Caledonian Advanced Pilot Training’s main base at Wycombe and satellite base at Lelystad, Holland. The company also offers private tuition on an individual basis though videoconferencing.
