ISO-9001-2015-BKS-e1516276908996

Britannica Knowledge Systems has been certified to the new ISO 9001:2015 standard by the Institute of Quality & Control (ICQ), which sets the international requirements for a quality management system. The principles of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) ensure excellent business practices based upon eight fundamental quality management principles. These cover standards for customer focus, leadership, people involvement, processes, systematic management, continual improvement, fact-based decision-making and mutually beneficial supplier relationships.

The accreditation provides a framework for managing business and ensuring a philosophy of continual advancement in all aspects and help improve organisational performance. Organisations that obtain this certification are externally assessed on an ongoing basis to ensure business practice maintenance.

Britannica has maintained an ISO 9001:2008 certification since 2005 for the development and implementation of management solutions for training, learning, readiness and knowledge. However, the updated version of the standard, ISO 9001:2015, brings several new benefits.

By putting greater emphasis on leadership engagement, it helps address organisational risks and opportunities in a structured manner. Furthermore, it uses simplified language and a common structure and terms, which are particularly helpful to organisations using multiple management systems, such as those for the environment, health and safety, or business continuity.
