FlightSafety expands Paris facility to accommodate first E190-E2 simulator

FlightSafety International is building the first simulator for the E190-E2 aircraft and expanding its Learning Center at Paris-Le Bourget airport in France to accommodate the new type.

The expansion of the Learning Center includes a new 1,145 square metre (12,346 square foot) building adjacent to FlightSafety’s current Paris-Le Bourget facility. Construction is scheduled to be completed this summer.

The new building will accommodate the Embraer 190-E2 simulators and two others which are to be determined. It will also feature seven classrooms, three rooms equipped with advanced training devices, six briefing rooms and other common use areas.

FlightSafety recently completed an expansion of its Learning Center in Columbus, Ohio.

The new FlightSafety FS1000 simulator for the E190-E2 features a next generation visual system and CrewView Collimated glass mirror display. Ed Koharik, General Manager of Visual Systems for FlightSafety International, commented, “Those flying the simulator will experience and appreciate the unprecedented clarity and crispness provided by the high contrast glass collimating display system.
