2FLY to use Virtual Aviation’s new AirlineReady™ APS MCC training

2FLY Group is replacing its current combined Multi-Crew Cooperation (MCC) and Jet Orientation Course (JOC) course with Virtual Aviation’s (VA) new AirlineReady™ APS (Airline Pilot Standards) MCC . The switch to the new APS MCC course structure will better equip students with the knowledge, skills and attitudes required to commence initial type rating training to standards higher than a traditional MCC-JOC, says Sheldon England, 2FLY’s UK Director.

EASA introduced the new APS MCC course structure to deliver enhanced MCC training to Airline Pilot Standards. VA says its AirlineReady™ APS MCC was the first APS MCC course in the UK to be approved by the Civil Aviation Authority and says its students believe it gives them a serious edge when seeking their first airline pilot position.

The APS MCC course includes advanced swept-wing jet airplane training and airline operations scenario training and doubles simulator training from 20 hours to 40 hours. There are regular progress checks throughout with a final assessment at the end leading to the issue of an APS MCC certificate, provided students achieve the required performance level. The course is given at VA’s Cambridge Airport Flight Training Centre using a new B737-800 simulator.
