Saab AB has announced the award of a contract for the provision of Tactical Engagement Simulation (TES) to the U.K.’s Infantry Training Centre (ITC) Catterick. British Army infantry recruits will now use Saab’s Next Generation TES capability during their Attack Week exercises.
This highly-deployable and high-fidelity capability will allow exercising troops to experience the simulated effects of direct and indirect fire, while providing objective data for the After Action Review (AAR) process.
Saab has also announced the renewal and expansion of their contract to provide TES to the Commando Training Centre Royal Marines (CTCRM) in Lympstone. Both capabilities will use the Manpack Comms and EXCON solution, and both capabilities will be delivered as Managed Services, with Saab personnel providing the logistic, data capture and data analysis functions.
