Avenger Flight Group (AFG) has committed $7,000 a week to the Feeding South Florida (FSF) food bank until the Coronavirus crisis is defeated. The move comes as the demand for the most basic needs of residents continues to grow over the current COVID-19 crisis.

AFG was driven to FSF because their role in the surrounding counties goes beyond providing sustainable nourishment. FSF also empowers and leads families through a network of organizations designed to help them achieve household stability according to their website. The professional staff at FSF deliver assistance in a comprehensive way that fosters genuine motivation to overcome adversity.

“Ourroots are here in South Florida; we established our first training center inFort Lauderdale as the home for Spirit Airlines Flight Crew Training over eightyears ago,” says Pedro Sors, President of Avenger Flight Group. “We feel anespecially deep commitment to our community and our hometown, we couldn’t beprouder to support such a commendable organization like Feeding South Floridaand all that they do.” AFG’s contribution will ensure that nearly 49,000 mealsa week will go to communities across South Florida.

“We are incredibly grateful for the community’s outpouringof support during this time of increased need. This donation will help us servethose experiencing food insecurity in South Florida. Because of COVID-19,almost 1 million people are relying on our support so this donation will helpus nourish individuals and families during this crisis,” says FeedingSouth Florida’s Executive Vice President, Sari Vatske.
