ASTi will be showcasing its Simulated Environment for Realistic ATC (SERA) and Pilot Phraseology Trainer (Pilot PT) at WATS 2023 in Orlando from 18-20 April at Booth #203.
SERA continues to benefit from customer-driven enhancements and real-world use, with over 1,000 pilots and 10,000+ flights in the past year alone. Soon, customers will leverage SERA on every continent except for Antarctica. This accomplishment testifies to SERA’s vast airport database and robust accent tolerance of its speech recognition solution.
Repeat customers are furnishing training devices with more SERA instances, further proving its training value. Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University students’ time from initial flight training entry to first solo flight decreased by 30 percent, accompanied by an increase in pilot competency and confidence. As a result, the program has expanded its SERA fleet by 25 percent in just one year.
Meanwhile, ASTi upgraded Pilot PT with a toolkit extension featuring powerful, new scoring metrics. This package provides insights about students' performance, identifying their strengths and weaknesses and helping students and instructors alike refine training for maximum gain.
Customers worldwide continue to deploy ASTi’s sound and communication solutions in Level D FFSs, FTDs at all levels, and an increasing number of VR-based FTDs.
