India's largest and fastest growing low cost carrier, InterGlobe Aviation Limited (IndiGo) has partnered with CTC Aviation, to launch a new airline pilot career programme to train its future pilots.

The IndiGo cadet pilot programme will see successful applicants achieving a dual - NZCAA and Indian DGCA - licence upon graduation before the opportunity to embark on a flying career as a Junior First Officer (JFO) with IndiGo. Successful candidates will join a full time training programme at CTC Aviation's Crew Training Centre - Hamilton, New Zealand.

Training will be delivered on CTC Aviation's fleet of next generation Diamond DA20, DA40 and DA42 EFIS - and TAS-equipped aircraft. Chosen to fully prepare trainee pilots for airline operations, the specification of these aircraft is closely aligned to the Airbus A320 that the pilots will operate when they graduate from the programme.

On successful completion of their Multi Engine Commercial Pilot's Licence and Instrument Rating training (CPL/MEIR), the newly qualified pilots will return to India to complete their DGCA flight licence conversion training under the guidance of CTC Aviation before commencing the advanced, Airbus A320 type rating ahead of starting operations as a IndiGo Junior First Officer.

The initial intake will see 36 aspiring aviators commence training. CTC Aviation and IndiGo will be hosting a series of events around India for interested parties to learn more about this opportunity to join this award-winning airline. Events will be taking place in Mumbai, 2 July; Delhi, 3 July; Hyderabad, 9 July and Bangalore, 10 July 2016.
