Aviation Group held a graduation ceremony at the Rey Juan Carlos University auditorium in Fuenlabrada for 118 students who successfully completed their vocational training programs. The graduates, aged 18 to 26 and from across Spain, finished studies in aircraft structures assembly and systems installation, advanced aeromechanical maintenance of turbine-powered aircraft (with B1.1 Aircraft Maintenance License), advanced maintenance of avionic and electronic aircraft systems (with B2 License), and electrotechnical and automated systems. Special recognition was given to four women graduates for their contribution to making the field more inclusive.
The event was presided over by Francisco Castaño, Managing Director of Aviation Group. Guest speakers included Elena Obregón, Project Manager at Ryanair; Fabio Spadaro, Head of Quality and Course Planning at Next Airworthiness Technics; Eduardo Chamorro, aeronautical engineer and associate professor at URJC; and Luis Cadarso, professor and Academic Secretary of URJC’s Aerospace Engineering School. Speakers shared insights on industry expectations, the importance of ongoing learning, and the relevance of technical education in today’s workforce.
In closing, Castaño highlighted the collective effort of students and faculty, emphasizing Aviation Group’s commitment to providing strong technical training. Graduates face favorable employment prospects due to growing demand for skilled technicians in aviation and electrotechnical fields. However, speakers also reminded them that the aviation sector requires significant dedication and responsibility, as maintenance professionals are essential to ensuring flight safety.
