ALSIM has announced that Mapúa Malayan Colleges Laguna (Mapúa MCL) in the Philippines has selected the ALSIM AL250 simulator, equipped with the Engineering Pack, to support pilot training and aeronautical engineering education.

The AL250 simulator addresses initial-phase training needs (PPL, CPL, Instrument and Multi-Engine ratings) and is a SEP/MEP reconfigurable simulator certified as an EASA FNPT II, FAA AATD and Transport Canada FTD Level 2 with IPC capability. It offers both analog and glass cockpits for each aircraft with a switch.

Mapúa MCL has also integrated the ALSIM Engineering Pack, which allows engineering students to design and test aircraft models on the AL250 simulator. Integrated within MATLAB and Simulink, the Engineering Pack allows users to create custom concept instruments, extract nearly 4,000 editable variables, modify aircraft flight characteristics, integrate external pilot monitoring systems and support research trials.
