At APATS 2025 in Singapore, Halldale spoke with Iñigo Hernández, Business Development Manager at Entrol, as the company marked its 20th anniversary with the launch of a new LED visual system for flight simulators.
Entrol has manufactured over 150 simulators across 25 models, and the new system reflects its continued focus on innovation.
The LED-based solution replaces traditional projectors and addresses limitations seen in mixed reality setups, particularly in multi-crew training environments.
The system uses flexible and reinforced LED panels to form a cylindrical wall and floor, creating a fully immersive visual environment. Hernández highlighted improvements in contrast and colour fidelity, especially during night flight scenarios, where the LED panels deliver true black levels and vivid highlights.
Entrol’s approach aims to balance immersion, realism, and practicality, offering an alternative to VR goggles while maintaining visibility and interaction between crew members during training.
