Live From APATS: Heading365 Tackles GPS Spoofing With New FMS Trainer Features

At APATS 2025 in Singapore, Halldale caught up with Patrik Stranz, Managing Director of Heading365, to explore the latest innovations in Flight Management System (FMS) training.

Patrik, a seasoned airline pilot and TRI/TRE on the A320 and A330, shared how Heading365 has expanded its aircraft model offerings to include the A350 and B737NG, while completely reworking its A320 trainer.

One of the key topics discussed was the increasing prevalence of GPS spoofing and spamming in European airspace. In response, Heading365 developed a simulation module to help pilots train for these scenarios. The feature was integrated into their app within a few months, following feedback from multiple operators.

With clients across all continents, from major airlines to smaller ATOs, Heading365 is growing fast.
