At APATS 2025 in Singapore, Halldale hosted a roundtable discussion following the Blue Skies Thinking: Redesigning Cabin Crew Training workshop, part of the Cabin Crew Conference.

Moderated by Trevor Jensen, the session featured reflections from the workshop’s lead facilitator Katy Ng (Head of Training, OneCrew), and table facilitators Audrey Ann Ambrosio (Manager, Customer Service, Cebu Pacific Air) and Dr. Mizuki Urano (Aviation Safety Advocate). They were joined by Emmanuel Anwar Abad, a Cabin Safety Operator at Qatar Airways and workshop participant, who offered his perspective on the experience.

The two-day workshop encouraged attendees to rethink cabin crew training using strategic planning tools and collaborative frameworks.

Topics included adapting to disruptive passengers, increasing turbulence, and the integration of emerging technologies such as VR, AI, and alternative training modalities like podcasts.

Participants highlighted the value of cross-airline collaboration and peer learning, with some operators even inviting others to visit their facilities to continue the conversation. The workshop’s “Back to the Future” theme, complete with references to Marty McFly, helped frame the discussion around imagining what cabin crew training could look like in the years ahead.

The roundtable underscored the importance of Halldale events in creating space for open dialogue, shared problem-solving, and long-term collaboration.

With APATS 2026 set for Bangkok, participants were encouraged to build on this year’s ideas and return with tangible progress.
