TUIfly from Germany has ordered a V7000 Brigade™ cabin fire & smoke trainer from Flame Aviation in the Netherlands. The new fire trainer is scheduled for delivery in August and will be installed at the TUIfly training facilities at Hannover Airport in Germany.
Flame's V7000 Brigade is a spacious fire trainer equipped to train virtually all possible in-flight fire scenarios. Fire and smoke can be generated in the oven, luggage bins, lavatory waste bin etc. Additionally, a lithium-ion batter fire in a laptop can be simulated. Fire extinguishers are refilled within seconds in a fully automatic docking station.
The fire trainer generates flames with natural gas and extinguishes them with a mixture of water and compressed air, as a replacement for Halon.
