Flyco Group releases global Route Competence courses

Flyco Group has released a Route Competence course list covering various areas around the globe.

The full package covers NAT MNPS (North Atlantic High Level Airspace), North America, Central & South America Procedures, Polar Operation, Russian Procedures, Africa & Middle East Procedures, China Procedures and Oceanic Procedures (which covers both North and South Far East including Australia).

Each one of the above covers important topics for the specific areas such as general area procedures and limitations, approval and system requirements, flight operations and navigational procedures, altimetry adjustments & limitations, specific in-flight procedures, amongst others.

The course can be assigned as a full package or individually to each user depending on their needs. All the courses have specific examination attached to the end of the session, which can be customised by the system administrator.

“We have been receiving requests from our clients – particularly from our corporate jet operators – outlining the need and the possible benefits of having the e-training for Route Competency,” commented Roger Coleman, Director of Training & Standards at Flyco Group. “We have recently released the full 'Route Competence' package to our existing clients and so far, we have been receiving very positive feedback.

Roger Coleman is an IS-BAO auditor as well as an auditor for the Commission of Air Medical Transportation Standards (CAMTS) Aeromedical Fixed/Rotor-wing programs. He has held various roles in the aviation sector, such as USAF Pilot, Instructor Pilot, Accident Investigator, Maintenance Officer, Chief of Safety and Chief of Flight Safety (B-52, T-37, T-38, T-41).

Coleman will be delivering a presentation on ‘Competency-Based E-Learning’ as part of the ‘New Learning Challenges’ session in the Pilot Conference stream between 14:00 and 15:30 on 1 November at EATS 2017.
