FlightSafety International has promoted Steve Hall to Director, Regulatory Affairs and Steve Fedynyszyn to Director of Quality, Safety and Standards.

In his new role, Hall has overall responsibility for obtaining aviation regulatory agency approvals and ensuring they are implemented throughout FlightSafety’s worldwide network of Learning Centers. This includes training programs for pilots, maintenance technicians and cabin crew which operate and support a wide variety of business, commercial, military and government aircraft.

Hall joined FlightSafety in 2014 as Assistant Director, Regulatory Affairs and had worked in the aviation training industry for 14 years prior to that. Steve held a variety of positions including Head of FAR Part 61/142 Regulatory Affairs, Senior Manager of Regulatory Compliance, JAA Head of Training, Manager Advanced Programs, Instructor Development/Quality Assurance as well as a simulator and ground instructor. He previously served as a First Officer and Flight Engineer with American Airlines and as a Captain with Tradewinds Aviation.

He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Flight Technology from Western Michigan University.

As Director of Quality, Safety and Standards, Fedynyszyn assumes responsibility for the establishment, optimisation and management of business processes within the FlightSafety Quality and Safety Management System. He and his team ensure that training programs, related systems and processes are delivered according to FlightSafety’s industry-leading standards and the requirements of aviation regulatory authorities worldwide.

Fedynyszyn will also lead an effort to further refine FlightSafety’s standards for course delivery, documentation and instructor qualifications. This will enhance the development, approval and delivery of new training programs and the establishment of facilities.

He joined FlightSafety in 1998 as a Program Manager for deHavilland DHC-6, Dash 7 and Beechcraft 1900 training. He was promoted to Deputy Head of Training in 2000 and most recently served as Director, Regulatory Affairs, Head of Training. During his 10 years in that role he led a team of 17 regulatory specialists responsible for maintaining regulatory training compliance for pilot and maintenance training throughout FlightSafety’s worldwide network of Learning Centers.

His prior experience includes working as an Account Manager, Sparton of Canada; Senior Manager, Hardware Marketing, Ingram Micro; Manager, Marketing Services, Honeywell; and Assistant Chief Pilot at Toronto Airways and TorontoAir.

Fedynyszyn earned a Bachelor of Business Administration and MBA at York University in Toronto, Canada.
