FlightSafety Dassault Falcon pilots first to become Master Aviators

FlightSafety International pilots Francisco Roberto Gonzalez Calvo, David Thatcher and Darren Fleming are the first to become FlightSafety Master Aviators with the Dassault Falcon aircraft. Calvo is a Falcon 2000EX EASy pilot, while Thatcher and Fleming are Dassault Falcon 7X pilots. FlightSafety says earning Master Aviator demonstrates a pilot’s flying skills, ability to correctly respond to challenging and unusual situations and a commitment to safety.

To earn the FlightSafety Master Aviator, pilots must complete aircraft type-specific advanced training courses and electives in addition to recurrent FlightSafety training. FlightSafety says Mastor Aviator flight crews will be able to understand and respond to challenging situations and achieve the highest level of safety with the advanced courses. The Master Aviator curriculum includes new developments in simulation technology and realistic scenarios to help ensure a safe and correct responses to demanding flight situations.

The courses for pilots of fixed-wing aircraft include Advanced Upset Prevention and Recovery, Advanced Energy Management, Advanced Rejected Takeoff Go/No-Go and Advanced CRM/Human Factors LOFT. The master-level courses for helicopter pilots include Advanced Helicopter Crew Resource and Advanced Helicopter Surviving Inadvertent Instrument Meteorological Conditions.
