Flame Aviation launched a new version of its V9000 Commander™ with its V9000 Commander XR cabin fire and smoke trainer to continue to meet airlines’ requirements to make fire training more realistic and give cabin crews the knowledge, skills and confidence to deal with real aircraft cabin fires.
In addition to fire, heat, smoke, glowing spots and short circuit effects, the new trainer features cabin sound, burning smells and hot spots in the cabin to expose trainees to more realistic training. It also comes standard equipped with an iPad wireless remote-control unit.
Recent deliveries to CAE and Wizz Air are already equipped with some of the features of the new XR.
The V9000 Commander XR will be available in October 2018.
