First Alsim simulator in Ireland

Alsim sold an AL42 VI simulator to Atlantic Flight Training Academy, a flight school located in Cork, Ireland. This will be the first Alsim simulator in the country. The device, an exact replica of the Diamond DA42, will be delivered during the first trimester of 2019.

Capt. Mark Casey, Atlantic Flight Training Academy managing director explains why they selected Alsim’s AL42: “Following the successful announcement of our mentored pilot training contracts in 2018 with Ryanair and Stobart Air, we decided to progress negotiations with Alsim, which culminated in signing today’s agreement at EATS 2018.” He adds: “We needed a DA42 VI simulator to complement our gradual multi engine fleet expansion. AFTA commenced operation of our first DA42 Twinstar aircraft this month.”
