OxfordSaudia, a CAE Authorized Training Center, has placedan order for two Level 5 Flight Training Devices (FTDs) from FrascaInternational Inc. The two FTDs will be configured as DA40NG and DA42-VIaircraft and will be located at Dammam International Airport in Saudi Arabia.
Both FTDs will feature high fidelity cockpits includingGarmin G1000 NXi, GFC 700 AP, Frasca's TruVision Global visual system withcustom database featuring KFIA airport and 220-degree display system, andFrasca's Simplicity IOS with cab. The devices will be used for ab initio flighttraining in order to prepare pilots for the A320 or 737 type training conductedby OxfordSaudia to complete the students’ readiness for an air carrier in SaudiArabia.
