FlightSafety adds Dassault FalconEye HUD to Falcon simulators

FlightSafety International announced that the DassaultFalconEye Combined Vision System HUD has been incorporated into its Falcon900LX simulator in Dallas, Texas, as well as Falcon 8X and Falcon 2000LXSsimulators in Paris, France. It will also be installed in a new Falcon 2000LXS/900LXinterchangeable simulator, which is scheduled to be available for training atthe Teterboro Learning Center in October 2019.

The course provides pilots with theinformation and training required to take full advantage of the FalconEyeCombined Vision System HUD. Ground School and simulator training addressesnormal and abnormal operations, operations procedures and limitations in allphases of flight.

FalconEye HUD combines synthetic,database-driven terrain mapping and actual thermal and low-light camera imagesinto a single view that provides situational awareness to flight crews in allconditions of operation, day and night. Training courses for Operational CreditDown to 100 feet are also available for Falcons equipped with FalconEye HUD. Insynthetic vision system (SVS) mode, the camera displays a 40-degree horizontalby 30-degree vertical field of view with a 1280-by-1024 resolution, ensuringfull coverage of the viewing area with no tunnel vision effects.

Training for Dassault Falcon aircraftis provided at FlightSafety’s Learning Centers in Columbus, Ohio; Dallas,Texas; Houston, Texas; Teterboro, New Jersey; Wilmington, Delaware; and at theParis-Le Bourget airport.
