L3 Commercial Aviation has been awarded a contract withEGYPTAIR to provide a new A320 RealitySeven Full Flight Simulator (FFS) for itsTraining Academy in Heliopolis, Cairo.
“Our partnership with L3 supports EGYPTAIR’s fleetmodernization strategy, which requires an upgrade of our Training Academy’ssimulation devices. This modern simulator is an important investment to serveEGYPTAIR’s new fleet,” said Captain Ahmed Adel, chairman and CEO of EGYPTAIRHolding Company.
“The new state-of-the-art device will complement the threeL3 FFSs, which are already in operation and will support us in delivering ourpilot training programs. This will also allow us to provide high-quality,third-party simulator time to other customers in the region at our Cairo-basedTraining Academy,” added Captain Abdel-Hady El Shakanqiry, the head of theEGYPTAIR Training Academy.
The selection of the device follows a rigorous technicalevaluation and competitive tender process. L3 will provide an A320 Standard 2.0RealitySeven simulator, complete with dual head-up display (HUD) functionality.It is scheduled to be ready for training in the summer of 2020.
