Boeing selects Cobham to supply T-X oxygen system

Cobham has been selected by Boeing to supply the completeoxygen system for its T-X Trainer aircraft. The system is comprised of Cobham’sSureSTREAM oxygen concentrator, pilot breathing regulators and a back-up oxygensystem with fill valve.

SureSTREAM improves oxygen delivery and pilot safety byautomatically adjusting the concentration of oxygen delivered to the pilotduring flight. The system meets the oxygen system operating requirements forthe Advanced Pilot Training Program specifications for the T-X Trainer. Withpilot safety as a core business, Cobham continues to invest in next generationtechnology to better protect pilots by meeting individual physiological demandsof oxygen. This system will not only address the current requirements, but willbe capable of spiral upgrades as new technologies, such as pilot breathingsensors, are introduced in the future.

SureSTREAMis commercially available and offers reduced risk with flight proven pedigreeon three other military aircraft.

The SureSTREAM enhanced capability concentrator is thecentral building block towards Cobham’s goal of developing an auto responseguided oxygen system, ARGOS.
