At the NATO Modeling & Simulation Group (NMSG) meeting in Vienna, Austria, the Chairman of the NMSG, Agatino Mursia from Leonardo, presented the NMSG Meritorious Service Award to Walter Ullrich.

The prize was awarded “in recognition of his many years of outstanding reporting on Modelling & Simulation for Military Training and other applications in the Defence domain, and in particular for his coverage of the NMSG activities, including this Symposium.” This was the first time the award was given to a journalist.

Ullrich commented: “The award not only goes to me, but also to the Halldale Group, which has published my writing time and again.”

Ullrich is a former Editor-in-Chief of Military Simulation & Training magazine. He continues to report on activities in Europe.
