APS Offers Loss of Control In-flight Program for Safety Initiative

Aviation Performance Solutions LLC (APS) announced a special week-long safety initiative aimed at single-pilot operators. For single pilots, APS will include a 1-hour advanced simulator session with all of its multi-day on-aircraft UPRT programs.

Because single-pilot operators are nearly 10 times as likelyas crew pilots to experience an Loss of Control In-flight (LOC-I )-relatedincident, mitigating this risk through properly conducted UPRT is acritical safety goal for the aviation industry and is integral to APS’purpose to help pilots bring  everyone home safely. While it iswell-established that on-aircraft UPRT is highly effective and significantly superior tosimulator training, there are still critical UPRT scenarios that cannot safelybe practiced in an airplane.

This upgrade allows single pilots, who are generally lesslikely to add simulator training to their UPRT program, an opportunity to getcomprehensive training and reduce their risk of LOC-I.

Fifty single-pilot slots are open for five days - up to one yearto fly the program. This is exclusive to single-pilot operators and includes piston,turboprop, turbofan, and turbojet operators. In addition, the first 50on-aircraft UPRT programs booked receive a free 1-hour advanced UPRT simulatorupgrade.

Applicants can submit from 9:00 a.m. EST Monday, November 25,through 9:00 p.m. EST Friday, November 29, 2019. Training must be accomplishedat APS Headquarters in Arizona.
