GECI Group, in partnership with Micro Nav, will supply a BEST 3D tower and radar simulator for Ethiopian Airlines Group (EAG) at its premises in Addis Ababa.

This will be the first time that EAG will use an air traffic control simulator to deliver training capability. It is doing so in order to support expected growth in the country and region.

The simulator has four radar controller suites and a 12-channel monitor-based 3D tower simulator with three tower controller working positions. It will include supporting data creation, supervisor, instructor and associated pseudo pilot positions.

A single-solution product, BEST meets the current ICAO and EAG  requirements and is flexible to evolve and meet changing demand.

"EAG will quickly benefit from the capabilities of the BEST air traffic control simulator, providing high fidelity training from ab initio through to validation and refresher," said Shane Hannam, Head of Sales & Marketing at Micro Nav.  Micro Nav is a developer and supplier of air traffic control simulators.

GECI will provide all hardware and spares for the simulator, as well as the installation and commissioning in Ethiopia.
