ALSIM Unveils New AL40 FTD

ALSIM has announced the launch of theirnew AL40, an exact replica of a new Diamond DA40 NG. Developed specifically forflight training institutions, the high-fidelity simulator is built to FlightTraining Device (FTD) Level 5 standards and contains the durable, reliabletechnology that ALSIM has become known for over the past 25 years.

Features of the AL40 include a realGarmin G1000 NXI and GFC 700 Autopilot/Flight Director. The FTD has electricpitch trim, and flight controls with electric control loading in pitch, rolland yaw axis. The device comes standard with ALSIM’s new in-house VFR imagegenerator and visual system with 210-degree screen. The buyer will also receivea maintenance spare parts kit to help ensure low downtime and increasedlongevity. Newer options for the AL40 include professional Live Air TrafficControl and ALSIM’s Advanced Simulator Virtual Assistant.

As with all ALSIM simulators, it providesa plethora of failure options allowing the student to become more familiar withpossible dangerous scenarios.

The AL40 launches comes after over 15years of success with the AL42, an exact copy of the popular Diamond DA42multi-engine piston aircraft. ALSIM’s AL42 clients, which include Airbus,L3Harris, Aeros Flight Training, Europilot Center and many others have been keyin the development of this new device.
