AVT Simulation is launching a virtual simulation class, AVT 101: Simulation Overview, from 7-10 July. The four-day course begins with an introduction to simulation and progresses to more complex concepts of simulation.

Simulation Overview examines the major components of a simulator and describes how the components fit together to produce an immersive training solution. The course targets those who are new to simulator design and development as well as those who are more knowledgeable and are seeking a comprehensive view of the full training solution. Course objectives include history highlights, simulator descriptions, simulator elements, visual systems, and simulation support. General principles of simulation that are studied in this class include common visual solutions; human-machine interfaces; and aspects of simulation support such as concurrency, maintenance and security.

The course will be taught by AVT Simulation Training staff both at AVT Simulation in Orlando, Florida, as well as online from 9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. EST.
