Industrial Training International (ITI) has added a new online training course to its ITI Learning Hub, Working At-Heights Around Mobile Cranes.

In Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s most frequently cited construction risks of 2020, At-Height work was recognized as the number one incident. Workers who are six feet or more above lower levels are at risk for serious injury or death if they should fall. In fact, falls are the leading cause of death in construction. In 2018, there were 320 fatal falls to a lower level out of 1,008 construction fatalities.

ITI was driven to develop the course due to the high-risk nature of at-heights work, along with the additional variables created when at-heights work is performed on and around mobile cranes. The 30-minute course is part of the Crane & Rigging Fundamentals Library and is available to Learning Hub Subscribers.
