EuroPilot Center (Belgium) and SoCal Pilot Center in California, both members of the International Pilot Center Alliance (IPCA), have added a AL172 simulator to their fleet, increasing the total number of ALSIM simulators within IPCA to four.

The ALSIM AL172, built to FAA FTD Level 5 standards and already certified as an AATD, is a replica of a Cessna 172SP Skyhawk with a real Garmin G1000 NXI and GFC700 autopilot.

Kay Vereeken, International Pilot Center Alliance’s CEO and Founder, explains: “The first simulator has just been delivered and installed in Antwerp, while the second simulator will be installed at our Campus in Coachella, California. This guarantees uniformity and standardization, across our training organizations.

“The AL172 provides a leap in immersive technology, which enables EuroPilot & SoCal Pilot Center to provide an even better Training Experience during the EASA/FAA Private Pilot, Instrument Rating, and Commercial Pilot Training. Having real Garmin G1000Nxi Avionics + GFC700, an 100% identical C172SP cockpit with control loading, and an ultra-realistic flight model with laser-projection based visual system, made this an easy choice to upgrade our simulator fleet.”
