Indra Group has expanded its use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) with the large-scale rollout of Microsoft 365 Copilot. Over 3,000 professionals across the company have integrated the AI solution into their daily work within one year, achieving improvements in efficiency and productivity.
Operating in more than 140 countries with over 57,000 employees, Indra Group is advancing its digital transformation through its Minsait subsidiary, which focuses on emerging technologies. Minsait has led internal AI initiatives and is applying these technologies to software development, operations, and new services.
“From the outset, we wanted Artificial Intelligence to be part of the day-to-day work of our teams, helping them generate quality content, access relevant information and optimize their tasks,” said Luis Navarrete, CIO of Indra Group.
The choice of Microsoft 365 Copilot was based on its integration with existing tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and OneDrive. Indra credits its partnership with Microsoft for accelerating deployment and reaching over 80% adoption.
Julia Martos, head of Information Systems Technology at Indra, said, “The partnership with Microsoft has been key to accelerating our internal digital transformation with AI. We chose Microsoft 365 Copilot because of its native integration into our tools, as well as its scalability and ability to improve our employees’ productivity without jeopardizing security.”
Indra also developed Indra M365 Copilot Helper, an AI agent to support new users. Use cases include generating business proposals, automating data analysis, managing emails, and creating presentations. Internal surveys report 79% of users find these cases useful, with average time savings of two hours per week. The company notes that these changes reflect a broader shift toward streamlined, collaborative, and adaptive working methods.
