Flyco Training Solutions Signs Deal with Small Planet

Flyco Training Solutions Group has signed a pan-European contract to deliver pilot training to Small Planet Airlines Group, across Lithuania, Germany and Poland.

Already familiar with e-training tools, Small Planet decided to switch from a competing offering to Flyco due to a requirement for full customization of the system and courseware to meet some very specific needs.

The Learning Management System (LMS) allows training managers to quickly and easily address training needs by identifying knowledge gaps; checking crew qualification  status ahead of audits; automating advance warnings of crew qualification expiration; creating fully customized administrative records; and generating certificates after completion of a course.

All Flyco courses are approved by the FAA in the US and fully compliant with EASA, IATA, and ICAO rules and regulations.

With a view to development and customization of the e-learning platform, Flyco has also agreed to develop a tool called Cockpit 360 for Small Planet. This is a 360 degree virtual replica of the cockpit, combined with information prompts, giving pilots a more immersive training experience. A natural extension of this is the development of the 360-degree view technology for cabin crew training as well, with the intention of allowing crew to 'walk around' the virtual cabin.

As a result, Flyco is currently in discussion with Small Planet to deliver a portfolio of e-training products for cabin crew in addition to pilots.

Small Planet Airlines is a fast growing independent European leisure airline that has grown its fleet from three aircraft at launch in 2009 to 21 aircraft today. The company now operates 15 Airbus A320 and four Airbus A321 aircraft, carrying over 1.7 million passengers in 2015.
