Florida Tech Aviation Adds Two AL100i Simulators

Florida Tech Aviation, the flight training school at Florida Institute of Technology, has purchased two new ALSIM AL100i simulators to support student training on its fleet of Piper Pilot 100i aircraft.

The AL100i is a replica of the Piper Pilot 100i trainer aircraft developed by Piper. The simulator is designed to FTD Level 5 standards, offering a full-size flight deck replica, a semi-enclosed instructor station, active control loading, and a specific flight model based on aircraft flight characteristics.

The AL100i is equipped with an immersive visual system featuring three projectors, delivering a 210×55° field of view. It also includes the original G3X and GNX 375 manufactured by Garmin, designed to match the performance, features, and ergonomics of the actual aircraft.

As an integral part of our curriculum, this training must be consistent and effective and present an exceedingly accurate version of our fleet avionics. ALSIM was the first company to provide a custom-designed simulator that best matched our Piper Pilot 100i aircraft with G3X Touch avionics. We were impressed by the build quality, precision cockpit replica, and clear, sharp visuals," says Jay Arcemont, Executive Director of Flight Operations at Florida Tech’s College of Aeronautics.
