Cirrus-Aircraft-Lufthansa-Flight-Training

Lufthansa Aviation Training (LAT), the flight training program operated by Lufthansa Airlines, has selected the Cirrus SR20 as the aircraft type which will make up its primary training fleet.

LAT has ordered 25 aircraft to lead its ab-initio, MPL and other flight training programs in Goodyear, Arizona. Delivery of the aircraft are due to begin in October 2017 and be completed by February 2018.

Pilots coming to use the SR20 at LAT will belong to airlines including Lufthansa Airlines, Swiss Air, Austrian Airlines, Eurowings, All Nippon Airways (ANA), KLM and the German Air Force.

The SR20 features two large flight displays, a Flight Management System keypad controller, an Electronic Stability and Protection system, plus integrated engine indication and crew alerting/warning systems.

The aircraft also comes equipped with a modernized Lycoming IO-390, 215HP power plant and features a durable all-composite structure with the signature Cirrus Airframe Parachute System.
