RSi Visual Systems, Inc. has delivered a Level D Epic Visual System to Cardiff Aviation Training Ltd. for use on one of their B747-400 full flight simulators at their training facility in Cardiff, Wales.
Cardiff Aviation Training Ltd. selected RSi Visuals to modernize their B74-400 full flight simulator, successfully upgrading a legacy Evans and Sutherland visual. The new Epic Visual System includes a three channel RS100 image generation system combined with a Norxe P1 projection system.
The Norxe P1 projector features second generation DLP LED technology generating 4.1 million pixels and 2000 lumens per channel, which in this configuration equated to 25 fL on a three channel, 150 degree field of view mirror.
