Matrox G200 celebrates 20 years

Matrox® Graphics celebrated the 20th anniversary of the Matrox G200 graphics chip that was developed for 2D, 3D and video acceleration. Matrox says the G200 has powered a number of industry-first graphics and multi-monitor-based product lines that delivered image quality across one or more displays. Today, G200 is an integrated graphics solution for baseboard management controllers used in servers worldwide.

Matrox says it established the precedent for image quality on analog cathode ray tube (CRT) monitors, becoming the benchmark behind several innovations including:
