The National Center for Simulation (NCS) is pleased to announce the results of its 2018 Board of Directors election. Joining the board are two new members: Dan Ketchen, president/CEO, Technology Associates & Products, LLC and Janet Spruill, vice president products, Aptima, Inc. Also re-elected to serve another three-year term are: Brian Holmes, current board chair and vice president business development, Quantum 3D Government Systems; Mary Trier, current board vice chair and president/CEO, Capital Communications & Consulting; Angela Alban, president/CEO, SIMETRI; Marni Spence, tax principal, CliftonLarsonAllen; and CAPT (Ret) Bill Reuter, president/CEO, R-Squared Solutions.

"As we embark on a new and exciting year, our volunteer leadership continues to play a critical, guiding role in advancing our association and the industry as a whole,” said Lt. Gen. (Ret) Thomas L. Baptiste, president/CEO, NCS. “The dedicated men and women who serve on our board give their time, effort, and considerable insight toward fulfilling our goals of creating an industry hub, and helping foster awareness worldwide. We are pleased to be led by such dedicated professionals and look forward to working together in support of an industry cluster critical to our region’s economy.”

Dan Ketchen is a modeling, simulation and training (MS&T) business growth professional with decades of experience selling and supporting technology solutions. “I am excited to serve on the NCS board to build on NCS’ legacy, expand my contributions to our community and have an even greater impact on NCS’ success. Perhaps most importantly, I want to help inject new membership into NCS to keep it thriving—on pace with the incredible technology our community produces.”

Janet Spruill has over 25 years experience growing and leading MS&T organizational development programs across DoD, intelligence, federal and commercial sectors. “Continued innovation through forward-leaning simulation and training research programs is crucial to keep the U.S. ahead of our adversaries. I am eager to support the NCS stakeholders and help bridge the current gap between R&D efforts and operational implementation.”

Rounding out the NCS Board of Directors for 2019 are: Terry Kohl, current board treasurer and business development director, Leidos; John Givens, current board secretary and president, Bohemia Interactive Simulations-Orlando; Daniel Holsenbeck, Ph.D., senior counsel to the president, UCF; Lee W. Lacy, Ph.D., program manager, DiSTI Company; Hank Okraski, SES (Ret); Ed Schons, president, Florida High Tech Corridor Council; Jeannine Matthews, vice president of strategy and business development, Lockheed Martin Training and Logistics Solutions; Randall Shumaker, Ph.D., director UCF/IST; Michael Tschanz, manager, systems technology strategy and processes, Walt Disney World; Eric Ushkowitz, economic development administrator, Orange County Government; Steve Painter, senior business development manager, General Dynamics Mission Systems; and Rob Matthews, The Coe Group.
