Bluedrop to deliver its first vehicle crew gunnery simulator

Bluedrop Performance Learning Inc., through its subsidiaryBluedrop Training & Simulation Inc., has received a $1 million contractthrough the Build in Canada Innovation Program to deliver an innovative newapproach to vehicle-based gunnery mission training for land forces.

The vehicle gunnery simulator is an immersive virtual trainingdevice to teach, practice and evaluate remote weapon system crew gunnery skillsand communication. The simulator will address target engagement, dangerousmalfunctions, firing solutions and techniques as well as vehicle orientationlimits (rollover) that may affect gunnery operations in a mission relevantsetting. The blend of physical and virtual simulation will heighten missionrealism and push the limits of vehicle crew gunnery training available at theoperational units. This simulator will be developed in partnership with the 5thCanadian Division to help develop new technology.
