We've launched a new interactive workshop for APATS 2025 designed to provide training leaders with practical tools and real-world strategies for implementing Artificial Intelligence in aviation training programmes.

The "AI in Aviation Training: From Hype to Hands-On" workshop, scheduled for Monday, 25th August 2025 from 11am to 3pm, aims to cut through the buzzwords surrounding AI and offer tangible implementation strategies for aviation organisations of all sizes.

The three-hour session will feature live demonstrations, interactive polls, moderated Q&A sessions, and hands-on tools covering pilot training, ATO operations, cabin crew development, maintenance, and operational oversight applications.

Training managers, safety and quality managers focused on CBTA and SMS, maintenance and cabin crew training leads, and operational decision-makers exploring AI tools are the primary target audience for this practical session.

Participants will receive a comprehensive toolkit including proven AI use-cases across pilot, cabin crew, and maintenance domains, alongside the latest EASA and ICAO guidance and compliance checklists for AI tool implementation. The workshop also provides an ROI calculation template to support business case development for AI projects.

Register for APATS 2025

Real-world case studies from airlines, flight schools, and maintenance teams will showcase tangible results whilst highlighting practical limitations, ensuring attendees gain realistic expectations of AI capabilities. A step-by-step AI Starter Blueprint will be provided for immediate application following the workshop.

The format emphasises practicality over theory, with the workshop built around actionable insights rather than conceptual discussions. This approach reflects growing industry demand for concrete guidance on AI implementation as organisations move beyond initial experimentation towards operational deployment.

The workshop is complimentary for all registered APATS 2025 attendees, who can select the option during the standard registration process. Standalone workshop attendance is available for $195 USD for those not attending the full conference.

APATS 2025 takes place on 26th and 27th August in Singapore, with the AI workshop serving as a pre-conference session.
