"Events such as the recent act of terror at Naval Air StationPensacola show that the threat is real and that these exercises help usmaintain preparedness. This year’s event will be a little more visible outsidethe base than in the past and will provide another excellent opportunity tointegrate with our local first responders, particularly Orange CountySherriff’s Office, UCF Police Department, and Orange County Fire andRescue."

The exercise is designed to enhance the readiness of Navysecurity forces and ensure seamless interoperability among the commands, otherservices and agency partners.
