NTSA is conducting a series of webinars with the intent to engage the training, simulation, and education community with thought-provoking information to result in dialogue that furthers our overall understanding of current issues relevant to the I/ITSEC community. The next webinar, The Future is Now: Cybersecurity to Maintain a Strong Defense Industrial Base, will take place 11:00 am – 12:00 pm EDT on Wednesday, June 24.

This webinar will discuss today's threats to the industrial base, security requirements, and the critical partnership that the U.S. Army has formed with industry to support the safety and security of our cyber infrastructure. The National Cyber Security Operations Center (N-CSOC), a pilot program initiated by Congress and managed by the Army, provides free assessments and support services to small businesses to identify cyber threats and secure their cyber networks. This event is crucial for small businesses and those who work with small business who want to secure their networks and infrastructure in support of their government clients and customers.

Speakers include Brad Thomason, Director, Threat Systems Management Office, and Brad Horton, Cyber Division Chief, Threat Systems Management Office. Thomason's discussion will highlight the mission of the National Cyber Security Operations Center (N-CSOC) and the criticality of enhancing the cyber posture of the Defense Industrial Base (DIB). Horton's discussion will focus on an array of advanced cyber topics, including red teaming, physical security enabling cyber operations, and persistent cyber threats.

The webinar will provide opportunities for discussion with the audience through a question-and-answer session as a part of the event. Registration is currently open and is complimentary for all who wish to join.

For future webinar topics, NTSA is seeking community proposals for webinars that inform the I/ITSEC 2020 theme, "The Future is Now." The webinar committee will review the proposals and determine which submissions best inform and engage the community leading up to I/ITSEC 2020. The submission window is open now and will close on July 17. Finalists will be notified in late July.
